Removing a solar system involves more than just taking panels off a roof—it’s a detailed, multi-step process designed to protect your home, meet utility requirements, and manage everything from equipment to paperwork.

We begin with a consultation (in person or virtual) to understand your goals and system status. Our team will inspect your roof, solar components, wiring, and mounting system to scope out what’s needed for a safe and complete removal.
Our certified technicians perform a full electrical shutdown using industry-standard lockout/tagout procedures. This ensures your system is safely disconnected from the utility grid and no power is flowing through wires or inverters.

We remove all panels, racking, and related solar hardware. Depending on your system, this may include inverters, conduit, junction boxes, and monitoring devices. All removal is done carefully to prevent roof damage.
Once the system is removed, we patch and seal any penetrations, flashings, or hardware mounts. If you’re planning a roof replacement, we coordinate timing with your roofer to minimize downtime and protect your home throughout the process.
We’ll responsibly recycle your system components or coordinate resale/repurposing if they still have usable life. You’ll receive documentation for your records, including a chain of custody or disposal receipts when applicable.
We handle the necessary paperwork for utility interconnection closeout, SREC program updates (if applicable), and can provide documents for insurance or home sale purposes. You’re left with a clean slate and peace of mind.
